Leisure centres, restaurants, football clubs, tourist attractions are but a few venues that offer children’s party services. Book well in advance, as some providers are booked up to three months ahead.
If you rather have a home party then hiring entertainment or equipment is also something to be done well in advance. When hiring equipment such as bouncy castles make sure you abide by the safety rules such as only similar aged children on the castle at the same time.
When most companies higher you their equipment you will need to sign a disclaimer. It is advisable for you to reproduce the disclaimer for the parents of the children attending the party to sign.
When hiring entertainment makes sure the person has been police checked. Don’t assume that because they are an active children’s entertainer they are o.k.
Themed parties focusing on the main interest of the age group is always a winner. From teddy bear tea parties to basketball bonanzas.
For a simple home party you could have a movie party or a themed dress up party.
Water fight parties are also an option and great fun. Just ensure you remind everyone to bring a change of clothes. It best If you have an outdoor tap. Balloon booms are or tiny water shooters gives more control.
My eight year old daughter had a bouncy castle party in the garden last year, it was great fun. Even though she was only eight we ordered an adult size 18x18 for only £10 more than the kids size. We were able to invite her entire class but kept a careful watch on how many children were playing on it at one time plus ensuring all those on it were about the same size to avoid any serious collision accidents.
We also arranged for the castle to be kept overnight at no extra cost which allowed the whole family could share in the fun once the visiting kids had gone home.
