Lake District National Park
An area spanning 30 miles and containing amazing scenery, including some of the highest mountains (Scafell Pike England's highest) and some of the biggest and most picturesque lakes in the country - Lake Ullswater and Windermere. Around 14 million visitors are estimated to come every year, some of them dedicated walkers or water sports enthusiasts, others simply there to enjoy the scenery and surroundings.
